The traditional cognitive based therapy solutions have been seen to be effective in the short term for people suffering from mild to moderate depression, but all too often it can be seen to return at a later date and people with more serious depression based ailments need more than the six sessions of brief therapy of the type that CBT offers. What we are suggesting is a form of self-managed psychodynamic work that helps the individual address their challenges at a causal level, helping them to dissolve the base of the negative emotions and unresolved difficulties that prevent that person from moving on in their life.
FreeMind helps people overcome depression by giving them an awareness that enables them to leave behind their doubts and difficulties and at the same time inspires them to once again fully engage in life as an active member of a fairer more understanding society. The toolkit consists of an exercise book and a series of specially designed audio recordings that they can use whenever they need clarity or support in the future so that they continue to self-manage their own mental wellbeing on an ongoing basis. There are a variety of recordings that cover a number of different aspects of emotional intelligence and mental well-being.
